PISCES Powering Innovations in Civil Society and Enterprises for Sustainability in The Caribbean

Brief Description:
The project aims to support innovative actions by civil society and coastal community small and micro-enterprises for conservation of marine and coastal biodiversity and development of sustainable and resilient livelihoods. This will be achieved through awareness raising, capacity building, fostering collaboration, supporting implementation of practical actions and advocacy to influence policy. It will benefit fisherfolk organisations, community based organisations, national non-governmental organisations and nature-based small and micro-enterprises focused on marine protected areas/ marine managed areas.
El proyecto apunta a apoyar acciones innovadoras de la sociedad civil y las pequeñas y microempresas de la comunidad costera para la conservación de la biodiversidad marina y costera y el desarrollo de medios de vida sostenibles y resistentes. Esto se logrará mediante la sensibilización, el desarrollo de capacidades, el fomento de la colaboración, el apoyo a la implementación de acciones prácticas y la promoción para influir en las políticas. Beneficiará a las organizaciones de pescadores, organizaciones comunitarias, organizaciones no gubernamentales nacionales y pequeñas y microempresas basadas en la naturaleza centradas en áreas marinas protegidas / áreas marinas gestionadas.
